How many gallons are in my pool?

Knowing the volume of your pool is crucial knowledge for a pool owner.  Everything from chemical doses to filter run-time is figured by the number of gallons of pool water your pool holds.

The easiest way to calculate pool volume is this:

Length x Width x Average Depth x Multiplier = Gallons

The Multiplier depends on your pool’s shape:

  • Round and Oval Pools = 5.9
  • Rectangle, Square, or Free-Form Pools: 7.5

Average Depth is calculated by:

(Shallowest Depth + Deepest Depth) ÷ 2 = Average depth
